It probably has happened to you as well that when you were thinking about getting a new hairstyle you found yourself looking at pictures and imagining how would that hairstyle look on you. I think that the era of hairstyle magazines from this point of view is over because we don’t have to look at others’ photographs and imagine ourselves; we can directly see how we would look with a new hairstyle.

If you don’t have a suitable picture (preferably taken from the front, so you will know if the hairstyle suites your face) or you simply don’t want to upload it as a safety measure, there are other sites that have default faces that can be customized so the shape will look like yours, even if the features aren’t similar. In this case this doesn’t really matter, since the fact that the hairstyle looks good or not rarely is influenced by the color of your eyes, for example.

If you don’t have access to the internet, or you don’t have the time necessary to find the right hairstyle this way, you could take a picture of the hairstyle you’d like to the stylist and ask him or her whether he or she thinks that it will look good on you. Although they might have many years of experience in the field, they still might be wrong when answering such a question because every figure is different and a hairstyle that looked good on another client might not look as good on you.

Or in another case if he or she advices you not to have that style because it wouldn’t be advantageous for you, you might pass on a hairstyle that you might have liked, but the hairdresser wouldn’t have because of personal reasons.

In conclusion all I can say is that trying on a hairstyle is not compulsory, but it might be very helpful because you could try out some hairstyle that seem to extreme to you, but you would still try it just for fun, and maybe you would see that, extreme or not, it looks very good on you and you might get it in real life as well. This might lead you to thinking outside the box. Anyway, you don’t have anything to loose, right? So don’t be lazy, it doesn’t take long to look at some free try on hairstyles and you could end up having a hairstyle that you never would have tried because you were afraid that it wouldn’t look good.
