2002 Hairstyles For Prom

I think we can all agree that probably prom is the first main event in every teenager’s life. In fact, in most of the cases this is the first formal event in young people’s lives. I find it only naturally that especially girls are very concerned with all the preparations for the big night. From the first moment they hear about the prom they immediately start thinking about what to wear, what accessories to buy, how to do their manicure, how to wear their hair and of course they have to think about who to go with.

All this planning might be very engaging and girls might forget about one of the most important aspects: their hair. It is important to plan ahead and to decide the hairstyle they wish to have and to try it out before the big night so if they don’t like something about it, they still have time to change it.

Every year comes with its own styles and trends and this wasn’t different in 2002 either. Before choosing the hairstyle you must know that there isn’t a style or color that looks good on everybody but there is one hairstyle that fits you perfectly, but only you. There are millions of hairstyles for every hair type (thin, medium or thick, straight, wavy or curly) and every hair length, no matter whether your hair is short, medium length or long. ‘

By this time it is a quite well-known fact that the most fashionable 2002 hairstyles for prom featured luscious curls and waves. It was very popular to have layers around the face that were creating some sort of frame for the face. Of course we must know that this fact wasn’t advantageous for every face shape, but most of the girls were content with it. Regarding the length of the hair we can say that it was very trendy to have shoulder length hair with curls that looked very feminine and sexy.

Although there was big emphasis on curls in 2002 it was still fashionable to have straight hair as well. The prom hairstyles have a very important role besides the obvious one of looking good on the person wearing it: it has to emphasize the dress, the makeup and the facial features.

Luckily there is no code when it comes to prom hairstyles so everybody may have whatever hairstyle she wants regardless of length or color. I find simple curly hairstyles to be very practical because they are easy to create and they look good on most of the girls.

You could also curl the ends of the hairs inward in order to add volume to the hair and you could curl those outwards to create sharp lines. Those who have naturally curly hair shouldn’t try to hide this fact and they could let the curls loose for an easy hairstyle. Let’s not forget about one thing that is always fashionable, so that they were used with 2002 hairstyles for prom as well: accessories. It is very trendy to wear a flower at prom.
